As an early childhood teacher or educator, you should be able to demonstrate sound pedagogical knowledge, strong written & oral communication skills and the ability to develop respectful relationships with children, families, the community and engage educators being a positive, inclusive leader and team member.
You will have:
Availability to work throughout the school holiday periods
Appropriate qualification as recognised by ACECQA (Bachelor / Diploma or Cert III)
Proven understanding and working knowledge of the national quality framework, EYLF, VEYLDF and National Standards
Ability to work successfully with a wide range of families and early childhood professionals.
Demonstrated experience in a similar role
Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law and the Education and Care Services National Regulations
Certificate III in Children’s Services
Diploma of Children’s services
First Aid Certificate including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training.
A current Victorian Working with Children Check
To be eligible, you must hold at least one of the qualifications listed below or be actively working towards completing one of the following:
Bachelor Of: Applied Science, Physical Education, Arts, Youth Work, Exercise Sport Science
Post-Secondary Qualification in the Fields of: Allied Health, including but not limited to audiology, speech pathology, occupational therapy, psychology, social work, physiotherapy, dietetics and specialist therapies such as music and movement.
Diploma Of: Community Welfare Work, Community Service, Education Support, School Age Education and Care, Out of School Hours Care, Early Childhood Education and Care, Children’s Service (Outside of School Hours Care)
Certificate: Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, Certificate III in Education, Certificate III/IV of/in Education Support, Certificate IV in Children’s Services (Outside School Hours Care), Certificate IV in Community Services, Certificate IV in Out of School Hours Care, Certificate IV in School Age Education and Care, Certificate lll in Education Support, Certificate IV in Youth Work, lV in Education Support, Associate Diploma in Arts- Fitness, Recreation or Leadership.
It is a VIC Health directive that: All Early Childhood workers are required to have had first dose or have a booking to receive their first COVID19 Vaccinate dose by 25 October and both doses required by 15 December 2021, unless a medical exemption applies.
